Every summer on a beach near here mother Turtles come up onto the beach to nest, then about 2 months later baby turtles hatch out of their sandy nest and scramble down to the ocean.
Turtles come ashore and nest November to January. Baby turtles hatch January to March. This is an evening activity with the turtles following the patterns of moon and tides. You get up close to the turtles with the opportunity to touch a turtle egg, pat a baby turtle and occasionally help the rangers with their valuable research into the amazing animals.

Mon Repos Turtle Rookery is about 45 mins drive from the Eco-lodge. Encounter starts 7pm and it can be a late night depending on turtle movements - take a picnic dinner or snacks and a book/music for while you wait.
